RADIESSE dermal filler consists of very small, smooth calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres that are suspended in a water-based gel carrier. These unique advantages make RADIESSE treatments the ideal choice to fill moderate to severe wrinkles and folds such as nasolablial folds.
Clinical Trial Results — FDA-Approved
RADIESSE dermal filler is FDA-approved for the correction of moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles around the nose and mouth, such as nasolabial folds. The FDA clinical study compared RADIESSE dermal filler to CosmoPlast® (a common collagen-based dermal filler) in a split-face, multi-site study. The results of the study demonstrated that RADIESSE dermal filleris longer lasting than CosmoPlast® filler.
RADIESSE dermal filler is also FDA-approved for the correction and/or restoration of the signs of facial lipoatrophy in HIV patients. The condition can cause indentations and sunken cheeks.
